Role:

The delivery driver is primarily responsible for making pickups and deliveries of technology equipment around the Brazos Valley. Responsibilities also include keeping up with maintenance on delivery and install vehicles and assisting inventory personnel with other administrative duties as may be assigned. All worked is performed Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. This is a part-time job with an estimated 15 to 20 hours per week.  

Qualifications:

Must have clean driving record and experience driving trucks or vans. Good knowledge of Texas A&M campus and surrounding Bryan/College Station area is required. Preference will be given to persons who can work in the afternoons from 1 pm to 5 pm. 

Responsibilities:

  • Arrive on time and ready for work
  • Be presentable and represent the company to our customers in a professional manner
  • Review and organize deliveries
  • Load/unload equipment from vehicle
  • Determine best driving routes for deliveries
  • Update delivery program daily to ensure accurate and timely records are maintained
  • Communicate with internal staff to ensure customer expectations are consistently met
  • Review delivery and secure sign off from customer to ensure acknowledgement of packages delivered
  • Comply with all driving laws
  • Only use designated parking areas when loading/unloading
  • Keep vehicles clean and uncluttered
  • Ensure maintenance, records, tags are kept current

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized
  • Strong customer service skills to deal with internal and external customers
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date
  • Must be able to read and effectively interpret business and technical documentation

Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements:

Employee is required to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and use hands and fingers.  Employee must be able to lift, move, and carry up to 25lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally.  Work is performed both inside and outside in sometimes inclement weather.
