Business Development Representative

College Station, TX

Role: 

The primary role of the Business Development Representative (BDR) is to identify and secure new business for our managed services and electronic security offerings within our market. This involves prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing sales to meet and exceed revenue targets. A successful BDR requires a unique blend of personality traits that include self-motivated, outgoing, confident, adaptable, goal/solutions oriented, curious, persistent, strategic/analytical thinker, and excellent listener.  You don't easily get discouraged because each 'no' brings you closer to a 'yes'.  If this describes you, we invite you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and new business opportunities.
  • Develop opportunities through cold calling, emails, social media, networking, and other lead generation activities.
  • Qualify leads from sales activities and create sales opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospects to understand their needs.
  • Work with internal/external Subject Matter Experts to develop solutions that address client’s needs.
  • Create and deliver presentations and/or proposals for prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth sales process and onboarding experience for clients.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales activities and targets.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, including calls, meetings, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems in CRM system.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Always practice our core values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous sales experience is a plus but not required.

 Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements:

  • Employee is required to stand, walk, climb, sit, and use hands and fingers.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
